Job Title: Jr. Operator
Location: Fairfield, Ohio
Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Position Overview
PrideStaff is currently partnering with a local production facility to find a dedicated Jr. Operator. The Jr. Operator is a vital member of the production team, responsible for the physical movement of raw materials and finished products, as well as supporting Machine Operators with efficient bag production. This role requires an independent worker capable of managing assigned plant tasks under the direction of the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support: Operate and monitor bundler equipment, ensuring production rates are maintained. Material Handling: Manually place bales on skids and utilize equipment as required. Label all bales accurately and practice proper lifting techniques. Operational Collaboration: Partner with Machine Operators to assist with preventive maintenance, machine cleaning, and troubleshooting. Quality Control: Proactively detect defects in raw materials or finished products and escalate issues to the Machine Operator or Supervisor immediately. Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and strictly adhere to all company safety, hygiene, and facility policies. Professionalism: Demonstrate dignity and respect toward all stakeholders, maintain confidentiality regarding production information, and report any non-compliance or safety concerns promptly.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs (dead weight) and perform manual transfers of heavy loads. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications 12 months of previous manufacturing experience. Ability to identify potential quality issues. Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures (safety gear will be provided).
Physical Requirements Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat and cold. Capability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting, and engage in common physical movements required for the role. Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.
