Material Handler (General Labor & Electric Pallet Jack)

Key Responsibilities

Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Receive incoming shipments, unload delivery trucks, inspect items for quantity and physical condition, and stage outbound finished goods for transport.

Production Line Support: Retrieve metal components, hardware, and raw materials from storage areas and stage them at appropriate assembly stations or workstations to maintain continuous production flow.

Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment— hand held pallet jacks and Electric Pallet Jacks (as certified)—following all company operating procedures.

Inventory & RF Scanning: Use handheld data terminals (RF scanners) to track inventory movements, locate materials, verify quantities, and log stock adjustments accurately.

Safety & Workplace Maintenance: Strictly follow Aluma-Form safety rules and OSHA regulations to prevent workplace hazards; maintain clean, clutter-free aisles and staging zones.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Lifting Capacity: Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 75 pounds .

Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and remain on your feet continuously for long periods of time across an 8- to 12-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Sensory & Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to safely navigate busy plant floors alongside foot traffic and heavy equipment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Footwear Requirement: Steel-toe or safety-toe boots are required prior to step-one on the floor.

High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).

Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or shipping/receiving clerk in a manufacturing or distribution center.

Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks preferred; active or prior forklift certification is a strong plus.

Basic computer literacy and familiarity with handheld RF scanners or terminal systems.

Strong attention to detail, willingness to follow direction, and a solid commitment to team safety.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00 Per Hour
