Stockroom Lead

PrideStaff is currently seeking a  Stock Room Lead for a manufacturing company located in Pomona, CA. This is a full-time, temp to hire position. Please see job requirements below to be considered.
  Pay Rate: $29.00 to $30.00 (depending on previous experience) Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (Saturdays or overtime required as needed)  
Job Summary:

The Stock Room Supervisor works under the general supervision of the VP Finance / Controller to
coordinate and direct the activities involving the scheduling and release of parts, the requisitioning of
product purchased parts and the maintaining of effective inventory control records and system procedures.

Essential Job Duties Supervise assigned staff including establishing and communicating performance expectations, provide positive and constructive feedback, conduct performance reviews and determine training and development needs and make hiring and terminating recommendations while conforming to company policies and procedures Assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting and control operations. Implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting Manages the inventory database and supports the department with technical, procedural, inventory control, and parts exchange support. Check inventory and request counts when variances are found Work with the Plant Manager to adjust inventory levels Place inventory tags for inventory corrections Pull shortage reports for job status and report updates to supervisors Explain processes for resolving inventory and stock issues Investigate inventory discrepancies and follow through on making the necessary corrections Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets. Collect and verify weekly timesheets, overtime reports, and deliver to Human Resources Work within the Made2Manage (M2M) system for the scraping of parts Managing of scrap metal and wood for crating
Other Duties Assist production in locating parts in the system as needed Assist with shipping resources and any discrepancies that may delay shipments Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field or a combination of education and a minimum of three years directly related experience in a manufacturing environment Five years supervisory and delegating experience preferred Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of ERP, Made2Manage (M2M) system a plus Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing Self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Ability to adhere to ethical principles that reflect the highest standards of organizational and individual behavior and comply with all laws and regulations Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented, use good judgment, manage competing priorities for multiple projects, and consistently meet all deadlines Ability to work collaboratively with others and foster cooperative relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to follow through, have excellent problem-solving skills, possess effective negotiation skills and be cost conscious Bilingual in Spanish a plus Valid California driver license and acceptable driver record required
