We are hiring for a Production Assistant / Teleprompter Operator on behalf of our client, a premier developer and producer of educational media content! The position entails managing teleprompter systems during video course recordings and assisting the production crew with studio staging. The ideal candidate possesses high technical adaptability, precision script management skills, and the versatility to pivot to roles such as Camera Operator or Floor Manager as production needs arise.

Location: Chantilly, VA
Schedule: Variable / On-demand (Estimated 4–12 shifts per month based on seasonal production cycles)
Compensation: $27.00/hr

Responsibilities Import, format, and edit scripts into specialized teleprompting software ahead of and during studio recording sessions. Control teleprompter scrolling speeds in real time to match the exact speech pace, natural pauses, and tone of on-camera presenters. Assist studio crew with setting up, adjusting, and striking production equipment, including cameras, lighting rigs, audio gear, and set backdrops. Step seamlessly into secondary crew roles such as Camera Operator or Floor Manager as dynamic production needs dictate.
Qualifications and Key Skills Proven experience operating teleprompter software and hardware within a professional studio environment. Hands-on technical proficiency with studio equipment, including multi-camera setups, lighting gear, and physical set construction. Exceptional attention to detail, real-time text tracking, and high focus during live recording sessions. High adaptability and willingness to handle cross-functional media production duties on shoot days. Ability to commute to the studio location in Northern Virginia.
