Lab Technician
Your role Key responsibilities in your new role
- Support PCB assembly, modification, rework, and precision soldering/de-soldering of ICs, surface-mount components, prototype boards, and production boards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose board-level issues, including power-up failures, soldering defects, component failures, and assembly problems.
- Assist engineers with board bring-up, testing, debugging, validation, electrical measurements, data collection, and results documentation.
- Maintain laboratory inventory: ensure proper calibration, documentation and maintenance of laboratory assets; coordinate procurement as needed.
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure lab readiness; assist in internal and external audits; promote laboratory safety, ESH compliance and 5Spractices.
- Plan and organize team activities regarding labs and other aspects.
Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- You are best equipped for this task if you have: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience with hardware debugging, soldering & rework, circuit analysis is required.
- Proficiency in lab equipment is required such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, network analyzers, and power supplies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for documentation and report generation.
- Experience working with any of the following standards is a plus: MDIO/UART/JTAG/SMBus/I2C.
- Hands-on experience with ISO quality management systems and document control processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and code revision control systems is a plus.
