Senior Procurement Manager

About the role

DP World is hiring a Senior Procurement Manager to drive strategic procurement across DP World Oceania and play a key role in the function's ongoing growth and maturity.

Partnering closely with business leaders, project teams and the wider Procurement team, you will uncover and deliver commercial opportunities, strengthen processes, capability and governance, and help shape a scalable, commercially minded operating model across our operational and corporate functions lifting efficiency and standardisation while delivering stronger commercial outcomes through key strategic national projects.

Key Accountabilities –

- Support delivery of the Oceania Procurement Strategy and lead initiatives aligned with business growth.
- Lead category management, strategic sourcing and major tenders/RFPs/RFQs across key spend areas.
- Lead commercial negotiations, weighing cost, quality, service, risk and total cost of ownership.
- Build and manage relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor supplier performance against contracts, milestones and SLAs, resolving issues as needed.
- Identify and deliver sustainable procurement savings, contributing to the annual savings target.
- Work with Finance to validate and track savings.
- Provide senior leadership and coaching to the Procurement team, building capability in sourcing, negotiation and contract management.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, commercially focused procurement culture.
- Ensure procurement activity adheres to policy, identifying and escalating risks or non-compliance issues.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

- A tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Finance or similar is a plus; CIPS, MCIPS or CPSM is highly regarded.
- 10+ years in procurement, commercial management or supply chain, with solid experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
- A proven track record of turning tenders, negotiations and supplier relationships into real cost savings and commercial value.
- Strong grounding in procurement governance, compliance and risk management.
- Experience in logistics, ports, warehousing, infrastructure, property or another asset-heavy industry is a real advantage.
- Sharp commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills and a natural problem-solving mindset.
- Clear communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to bring stakeholders along.
- Detail-oriented and well organised, able to juggle multiple procurement activities at once.
- Genuinely customer-focused, with the ability to influence outcomes across different parts of the business.
