About the Role

Role Purpose

You will be focused on driving growth and delivering high KPI performance results with existing and new suppliers. You will be responsible for developing and successfully implementing supplier business plans, co-ordinate supplier activities such as marketing, reporting and promoting RS to external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Drive high performance in sales growth targets, new customer acquisition, and implement strategy to gain market share for existing suppliers

- Develop strategic plans and execute actions to deliver successful results on high profile accounts

- Efficiently launch new suppliers that add value to the customer and re-enforce the RS long term strategy

- Collaborate with suppliers and marketing to develop effective campaigns

- Lead and Coordinate supplier business reviews

- Effectively promote RS long term strategy, core competencies, and competitive strengths to external stakeholders

- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with:

o Suppliers

o Sales personnel

o Marketing

o Supply Chain

o Warehouse and logistic staff

o Corporate support staff – accounting, business analysts, etc

- Travel occasionally for meetings with suppliers, training sessions, and exhibition shows

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

- Can effectively communicate (verbal, written and listening)

- Exhibits strong customer service and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

- Must have strong teamwork, organizational, & analytical skills

- Knows how to set priorities and can quickly zero in on what is critical.

- Must have proficient level of skill in Microsoft word, excel and power point

- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build effective relationships.

- Can utilize process improvement skills to figure out how to get things done.

- 2-3 years of Industrial distribution experience in similar role

- Intermediate level computer skills, including word processing letters/reports, creating graphics, preparing basic spreadsheets and access database experience

- Presentation ability in front of the supplier management team

Desirable Skills & Experience

- 4-year degree in businesses or related field

- Previous experience with automation & control industry
