About this role
Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials and products from trailers and containers.
- Moving materials to and from storage areas, staging areas, and production lines using manual or power equipment.
- Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmations
- Verifying inventory counts and documenting material movement through scanning or manual logs.
- Operating material handling equipment (MHE) such as pallet jacks and forklifts in a safe manner.
- Picks and packs customer orders, assembling various types of merchandise for shipment
- Move stock from reserve storage to primary picking locations.
- Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area by following housekeeping and safety standards
- Partner with management to analyze your performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be available to work OT as required to support business needs
- Prior experience in material handling or warehousing preferred.
- Ability to lift, lower and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for the entire shift.
- Ability stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift
- Ability to work in varying temperatures as the warehouse is not climate controlled.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math and reading skills for labels and inventory counts.
- Willingness to learn powered equipment like forklifts or pallet riders
- Has basic computer knowledge and skills.
