Power Electronics Engineer with extensive experience in MW-scale industrial power conversion systems, including solar inverters, BESS, and inverter drives. Expertise spans end-to-end product development, supplier collaboration, manufacturing support, and production testing, delivering high-performance and reliable power electronics solutions for industrial applications.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

- Extensive experience in the design and development of high-power power electronic products for industrial applications, with deep expertise in MW-scale DC-AC and DC-DC power conversion systems , including utility-scale solar inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) .

Strong knowledge of power electronic components and subsystems , including high-power semiconductors (IGBTs, SiC devices), DC-link capacitors, sensors, gate driver circuits, and protection architectures.
- Proficient in industry-standard simulation and design tools , including PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE , finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS , 3D mechanical CAD platforms including SolidWorks and AutoCAD , as well as schematic capture and PCB design software.
- Hands-on experience in thermal modelling, thermal performance evaluation, and cooling system design , ensuring reliable operation of high-power conversion systems under demanding operating conditions.
- Proven expertise in the design and integration of customised subassemblies and collaboration with suppliers for components such as busbars, heatsinks, and PCB assemblies (PCBAs) , ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost optimisation.
- Skilled in design verification, testing, and performance validation , conducting comprehensive qualification and reliability assessments to ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the complete product development lifecycle, from concept design and simulation through prototyping, testing, validation, and industrialisation.

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

- 10-12 years of proven experience in the design, development, validation, and manufacturing of high-power power electronic products, preferably in renewable energy, industrial power conversion, solar inverters, or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Demonstrated expertise in managing the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and design through prototyping, testing, industrialisation, and production support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to engineering challenges and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and key stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented professional with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality outcomes within challenging timelines.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovation-driven environment, adapting quickly to evolving business and technical requirements.
- Strong team player with a commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and engineering excellence.
