CNC Laser/Turret Operator

CNC Laser/Turret Operator Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with a local manufacturer seeking several experienced  CNC Laser/Turret Operators. The  CNC Laser/Turret Operator will set up and operate a laser turret combo machine, following work instructions or blueprint specifications to complete sheet metal production. The ideal  CNC Laser/Turret Operator has 2-3 years of similar experience, basic computer skills, is able to read and understand blueprints, and has good communication and attention to detail. The CNC Laser/Turret Operator is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Webster , NY.
 
CNC Laser/Turret Operator Job Responsibilities:

Understand Job Specifications by Following Control Documents or Blueprints

Build & Repair Tools according to Job Specifications

Set up Machine & Install & Remove Tools Required for job

Load Sheet Metal on Machine

Run Program & Ensure Machine is Operating as Intended

May Make Adjustments to Computer Program if Required

Inspect Finished Pieces, Deburr and Buff as Needed

Follow All Safety & PPE Requirements

Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor or Manager

CNC Laser/Turret Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

2-3 Years of CNC Experience or Training

Certificate from College or Technical School is Preferred

Must be Able to use a Computer & Understand the use of a CNC Machine Controller

Must be able to use Calipers & Micrometers, Hand jacks & Grinders

Must be Able to Read Blueprints, Safety Rules, Operating & Maintenance Instructions & Procedure Manuals

Ability to Program is a Plus

Have Good Communication skills and Ability to Effectively Speak to Customers & Colleagues

Basic Math Skills are required,  Including the  Ability to Add, Subtract, Multiple & Divide

Ability to Apply Common Sense to Carry out Verbal or Written Instructions

Ability to Stand, Walk, sit, use Hands to Finger, Handle or Feel, Reach, Grasp, Twist, Talk & Hear, and lift objects up to 50 Lbs
