Overview
A premier global freight forwarder and logistics provider is seeking a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) to lead and mentor the New York Customs Brokerage team. This role oversees US Customs entry creation, tariff classification, compliance, and departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor entry writers and departmental supervisors; oversee hiring, performance reviews, and workflow distribution.
Customs Operations: Supervise the accurate, timely creation and electronic transmission of import entries to US Customs, EPA, FDA, and partner government agencies.
Compliance & Classification: Ensure proper Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, duty/tax payment, recordkeeping, and appeal filings.
Client & Cargo Logistics: Quote duty rates, address entry issues, and coordinate storage/transportation from port to final destination.
Qualifications
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) required.
5–10 years of experience in Customs Brokerage management.
Strong working knowledge of HTS, CROSS, and US Customs regulations.
Proven track record managing and developing a team of Entry Writers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trade software.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
