Accounts Executive

Our client, a well-established CSP based in Malta, is currently looking for an Accounts Executive to join their team. In this role, you will manage your own client portfolio and also assist with tax-related matters, including tax returns and refunds.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €30K plus performance bonus.

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta can be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

- Completing management accounts for own portfolio of clients
- Preparing and submitting VAT Returns for own portfolio of clients
- Ensuring all tasks within the assigned portfolio are completed in accordance with statutory requirements
- Liaising with the tax administration team on tax computations, tax returns, tax refunds and other tax-related matters
- Liaising with auditors, tax and VAT departments, and the MBR, as directed by the Head of Department
- Liaising with internal departments to obtain information needed for timely preparation of financial statements and statutory returns
- Attending client meetings for own portfolio

Education, Skills & Experience

- Partly qualified Accountant, holding a relevant degree in Accountancy or in the process of finalising ACCA
- 2+ years of experience in client accounting
- Experience working with licensed entities and other financial services companies is an asset
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal departments
- Able to work well within a team, supporting others to meet deadlines
- Competent in Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to prioritise across clients and deadlines, and multi-task effectively
