JOB SUMMARY
- Performs all required procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab at a high level and operates specialized equipment including; but not limited to; the computer system; hemodynamic monitoring and have working knowledge of cardiac catheterization lab. Promotes teamwork in the department and maintains positive communication skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an appropriate accredited program or health science degree preferred
- Minimum Work Experience
- LVN; RCVT; EMT-P; ARRT; CST; or 5 years consecutive cath lab experience
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- BLS upon completion of orientation or after one month of hire
- ACLS within 90 days of hire
- Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
- Answer telephones
- Input data into computer programs
- Compile statistics
- Maintain patient charts
- Previous diagnostic experience
- Generate reports
- Working knowledge of viewing equipment
- Working knowledge of hemodynamic equipment and able to problem solve basic error messages
- Working knowledge of sterile procedures
- Must be operational in 2 positions within 1 year of hire
