About this role
JOB SUMMARY
A sleep technologist works under general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center sleep testing; diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; comprehensive patient care; and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- Associates degree or Graduate accredited respiratory program or Completion of A STEP Program or Completion of a Certified Sleep Program
Minimum Work Experience
- No prior experience required
Required Licenses/Certifications
- RPSGT; CPSGT; or RST; or CRT/RRT with SDS credentials from NBRC; or completion of A-Step (completion with 1 year of hire date); and/or eligible to sit for RST boards
- Eligible to sit for RST boards
- CPR certified

- Answers phones
- Conducts patient follow-ups
- Compile statistics
- Able to perform EEG recordings for on call and STAT EEGs
