Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) is a global function, responsible for making the right credit and fraud risk decisions that uphold operational excellence, drive growth, and accelerate innovation across American Express. CFR combines technology and infrastructure with new computing techniques to make better risk decisions and provide real-time customer communications and fraud servicing.
- Advanced Degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science.
- Outstanding strategic thought leadership with a focus on innovation.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, intellectually curious and leads with external perspective.
- Clear, effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong collaborative/interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment with strong attention to detail.
- Project management skills with demonstrated proficiency in leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in underwriting or another core credit risk management function.
- Deep understanding of credit card economics and the payments industry.
- Externally focused and aware of the latest technology and market trends in payment, credit trends, credit behavior and external development in the lending industry.
