To provide oversight and coordination of mortgage loan origination for purchases and refinances for a particular section of Mortgage Production/Field Mortgage. Conduct and coordinate training for the section staff to ensure loan application and documentation conform to loan product requirements and federal, state, local regulations, as well as NFCU and NCUA requirements. Provide oversight and coordination of mortgage loan workflow and productivity. Supervise section team members and activities.
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal mortgage products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
- Working knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA loans & RESPA guidelines
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Experience in compliance analysis
- Experience in leading, guiding, and mentoring others
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations, instructions, and procedures
- If selected, will be required, prior to the assumption of employment duties, to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry; includes fingerprinting and background checks
- Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
- Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
- Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures Bank Secrecy Section
- Familiarity with financial institution and mortgage lending practices, principles, and regulations
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal mortgage products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
