National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking a skilled Technician Field Service III to join the Williston Portable Power Team. The role involves on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of natural gas and diesel generator sets. Candidates must be able to travel extensively, pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and pre‑employment testing, and will be provided a company truck while supplying their own tools.
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience servicing natural gas and diesel generators.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR; ability to pass background checks.
- Completion of pre‑employment testing (drug screen, physical, etc.).
- Proficiency with hand and power tools; candidate must supply own tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to read schematics and manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and customer‑service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile work schedule.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the service region.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
