BIM Technician

We are looking for a BIM Technician to join our Digital Technology team and support the delivery of innovative and sustainable architectural projects. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside architects, BIM specialists and project teams to create and coordinate high-quality digital models and technical drawing packages that support projects from design through to delivery.

As part of a collaborative team, you will help maintain BIM standards, prepare project information for issue and delivery, and provide technical support on BIM workflows and digital tools. You will play an important role in helping project teams work efficiently and deliver coordinated, accurate project information.

This position would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively and developing their technical expertise within a creative and supportive environment.

This role will be offered initially on a 3 month fixed term basis.

What you'll do

- Support the production and coordination of BIM models and technical drawing packages.
- Prepare project files and deliverables for review, issue and submission in line with project requirements and quality standards.
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance on BIM workflows, software and digital delivery processes.
- Assist with quality assurance activities to help maintain accurate and coordinated project information.
- Work closely with architects, BIM Coordinators and BIM Managers to support project delivery.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of BIM and digital workflows.

What we're looking for

- Experience using OpenBuildings Designer and MicroStation.
- Experience working within a Common Data Environment, ideally ProjectWise.
- Ability to produce technical drawing packages, including plans, sections, elevations, schedules and details.
- Knowledge of Revit or other Autodesk software would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn new software, tools and ways of working.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
