Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's IT environment. This role supports the Security Operations by analyzing security events, managing incidents, maintaining security tools, and helping protect critical systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

- Investigate security incidents.
- Coordinate and execute incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Escalate significant security incidents to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Document incidents, investigations, and remediation activities.
- Administer and optimize cybersecurity tools and technologies.
- Support implementation of security controls and monitoring capabilities.
- Maintain security dashboards, reports, and operational metrics.
- Participate in security audits and compliance activities.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field of study, or relevant practical experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Experience with cybersecurity products (antimalware, intrusion detection and prevention, encryption programs, web security filtering).
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- High motivation and autonomy with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work with administrative and technical team personnel.
- GCIH, GSEC, GMON or CISSP certification is an asset.
- Fluency in English.
