GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Coordinate, implement, and ensure compliance with Security strategies, policies, procedures, and programs related to Asset Protection, Access Control, Risk Management, Emergency Response, and Security Standards Compliance, in order to protect employees, facilities, assets, information, and company operations, while ensuring compliance with corporate, legal, and applicable certification requirements such as C-TPAT, OEA, and ISO 9001.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, implement, and supervise asset protection security programs aligned with company objectives.
- Coordinate and supervise internal security personnel and external service providers.
- Manage access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and other security technologies.
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of facilities, processes, and operations.
- Investigate incidents related to theft, losses, damages, fraud, or any event affecting company assets.
- Prepare security reports and performance indicators for management.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective actions resulting from internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal regulations, and security standards.
- Administer and control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate emergency and contingency response plans.
- Maintain communication with local authorities, law enforcement agencies, and government organizations as required.
- Train personnel on asset protection security, loss prevention, and security awareness.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to physical security and asset protection.
- Maintain effective communication with the Site Security Manager and provide reports on incidents and activities as requested.
- Maintain ongoing supervision of yard security activities and prepare joint reports with the Yard Supervisor whenever requested by management or when necessary.
- Coordinate, implement, and supervise asset protection security programs for the protection of people, assets, facilities, and company information.
- Conduct periodic facility inspections to identify risk factors related to physical security, fire prevention, and environmental safety.
- Prepare inspection reports and present recommendations and corrective measures to Security Management and Senior Management.
- Prepare comprehensive incident reports related to vandalism, theft, accidents, losses, damages, and any other event affecting the security or assets of the organization.
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate preventive and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and follow up on special investigations related to ethics, confidentiality, fraud, and corporate compliance.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements established for C-TPAT and OEA certifications.
- Coordinate the preparation and execution of internal, external, and corporate audits related to asset protection security.
- Conduct periodic security risk assessments, update risk analyses annually, and develop mitigation plans.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions resulting from audits, inspections, incidents, and risk assessments.
- Ensure control of inventories, records, circulation lists, documentation, equipment, and resources under their responsibility.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of corporate information in accordance with confidentiality and clean desk policies.
- Coordinate inspections of trailers, containers, transportation units, and inbound and outbound staging yards.
- Verify compliance with security standards throughout the supply chain.
- Promote, coordinate, and deliver initial and ongoing training on asset protection security, loss prevention, and emergency response.
- Maintain coordination and liaison with external authorities such as Municipal Police, State Police, Federal Authorities, National Guard, Civil Protection, and Fire Departments.
- Participate in local and regional security organizations and committees such as INDEX, OSAC, ASIS, and other related forums.
- Coordinate private security service providers and evaluate their performance.
- Maintain security presence and oversight during construction, renovation, or facility expansion projects.
- Develop indicators, metrics, executive reports, and performance statistics for the Asset Protection Security area.
- Participate in compliance with applicable ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
- Comply with and enforce corporate policies, internal regulations, and applicable security standards.
- Perform any other activities related to the function as assigned by Asset Protection Security Management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Criminology, Public Security, Law, or a related field.
- Asset Protection Security or Risk Management certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in positions related to asset protection security, loss prevention, or risk management.
- Experience managing security personnel.
- Experience conducting internal investigations and incident analysis.
- Bilingual.
- General knowledge of laws and regulations including the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, Civil Code, Traffic Law, and Federal Labor Law.
- Proven knowledge and skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience managing C-TPAT and OEA certifications.
- Ability to prepare Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Invoices, and manage budgets.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, Access Control Systems, and Master Key Control.
- HS&E knowledge (preferred).
