About this role

Intellipro is seeking two Tournament Associates to support the planning, organization, and growth of golf tournaments and related business activities. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong understanding of the golf industry, experience participating in or organizing golf tournaments, and excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. The successful candidate will work closely with junior and competitive golfers, coaches, tournament organizers, sponsors, and strategic partners. In addition to supporting tournament operations, the role will help grow the company's player network and develop long-term partnerships within the golf community. Because golf is a relationship-driven industry with unique professional standards and etiquette, candidates should be comfortable communicating professionally with players, families, coaches, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Tournament & Player Operations - Support the planning, coordination, and execution of golf tournaments and related events. - Assist with player registration, check-in, scheduling, tournament logistics, and on-site operations. - Communicate with players, parents, coaches, tournament staff, and other stakeholders before and during events. - Help ensure tournament activities run smoothly and provide a professional, high-quality participant experience. - Assist with handling on-site issues and unexpected situations during tournaments. - Coordinate tournament materials, schedules, venue requirements, and other operational details. - Provide additional event and administrative support as required. Player Recruitment & Golf Community Development - Build relationships with golf coaches, academies, clubs, players, and families. - Identify and recruit junior and competitive golfers to participate in tournaments and programs. - Develop and maintain a network within the local and broader golf community. - Communicate professionally with prospective players and families regarding tournament opportunities. - Support outreach initiatives designed to grow tournament participation. Sponsorship & Strategic Partnerships - Identify and engage potential sponsors and business partners. - Assist with sponsorship outreach, relationship development, and follow-up. - Build long-term relationships with golf clubs, academies, coaches, organizations, brands, and other industry partners. - Support the development of strategic partnerships that contribute to tournament growth. - Represent Intellipro professionally at tournaments, meetings, and industry events. Qualifications - Previous experience with golf, golf tournaments, sports events, tournament operations, or large-scale event coordination is strongly preferred. - Strong understanding of golf culture, tournament operations, and golf etiquette is highly preferred. - Experience playing competitive golf, working in golf operations, coaching, or organizing golf events is an asset. - Excellent English communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with players, coaches, parents, sponsors, and business partners. - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. - Professional appearance and strong customer-service mindset. - Detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and able to manage multiple priorities. - Strong problem-solving and on-site execution skills. - Comfortable working in a relationship-driven and client-facing environment. - Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Must be available to work five days per week on a full-time basis. - Flexibility to work around tournament schedules when required. - Valid driver's license and ability to travel for business purposes are preferred. Preferred Background Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, including: golf tournament operations; golf clubs or golf academies; competitive or collegiate golf; sports event management; tournament administration; hospitality or premium customer service; sponsorship / partnership development; sports business development; athlete or player relations. Candidates with strong golf-industry knowledge and relationships are encouraged to apply even if their previous job title was not directly related to tournament operations. What We Offer - Full-time employment - CAD $50,000 – $80,000 per year, negotiable / commensurate with experience and performance - Business mileage reimbursement of $0.50 CAD/km for approved travel - Opportunity to build relationships across the golf industry - Exposure to tournament operations, player development, sponsorship, and business partnerships - Opportunity to grow with an expanding golf tournament business
