Field Service Technician
Location: Ormond Beach, FL
Travel: Up to 75% domestic and international

Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and service of controlled-environment equipment and laboratory facilities. Equipment may include biological safety cabinets, laminar airflow workbenches, isolators, cleanrooms, mobile laboratories, and modular laboratory systems.
This is a customer-facing field position supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, research, and laboratory environments. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, professional, and comfortable working independently while traveling extensively.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Germfree equipment and facilities.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, airflow, and control-system issues.
- Perform minor repairs and coordinate complex repairs with engineering, vendors, or licensed specialists.
- Respond to customer service requests and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct equipment testing and communicate service findings and recommendations to customers.
- Complete service reports, certification documentation, and expense reports.
- Use service software, remote support tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain service parts and supplies and assist with shipping and logistics.
- Travel extensively, including occasional international assignments and overnight stays.
- Follow applicable safety and industry standards, including compounding cleanroom regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75%, including internationally.
- Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional communication skills
