Southern Health Partners is looking for a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Calhoun County Jail in Alabama.
Here, you'll have the opportunity to use your nursing skills in a structured, secure environment while caring for an underserved population.

🩺 What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Provide sick call, chronic care, and routine nursing services
- Respond to urgent and emergent medical needs
- Recognize changes in patient condition and take appropriate action
- Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and correctional staff
- Promote a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment
- Practice within your professional scope, licensure, and established clinical guidelines
Qualifications
📋 What You'll Need
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Previous nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Professionalism, compassion, and respect for patient confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment
