Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide healthcare services at the St. Croix County Jail in Wisconsin.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who wants to keep using their clinical skills while enjoying a predictable every-other-weekend schedule .
🩺 What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice
- Provide routine nursing services, sick call, and chronic care
- Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent medical needs
- Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to the appropriate provider
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with the healthcare and correctional teams
- Promote a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment
- Practice within your professional scope, licensure, and established clinical guidelines
Qualifications
📋 What You'll Need
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Current CPR certification
- Previous nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a healthcare team
- Professionalism, compassion, and respect for patient confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment
