Metallurgical Engineer

Arconic is currently in search of Metallurgical Engineer to join our Quality Team based in Massena, New York .

You have: (required)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Materials Science, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e., ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

- A Masters in Material Science.
- Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a metallurgy or an engineering capacity (e.i. maintenance engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent).
- Experience working in the aluminum industry.
- Working knowledge of metal finishing technology is a plus.
- Working knowledge of metal extrusions technology is a plus.
- Working knowledge of aluminum association standards, alloys and tempers.
- Previous experience working in a Union environment.
- Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 knowledge.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) or Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) certification, is a plus.

Base Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00
