Regional Technology Head Europe

Your future position?

As Regional Technology Head Europe , you will lead the Regional Fragrance Technology team, translating and tailoring global technology strategies to regional business needs. In this highly visible leadership role, you will ensure efficient technical, analytical and sensory support, drive innovation deployment, and contribute to the delivery of competitive advantage in alignment with business objectives.

This position is based in Argenteuil, France, and reports to our Head of Global Fragrance Technology.

You will act as a scientific and technical expert for the region, fostering collaboration across functions, regions and disciplines while building a high-performing team of passionate scientists.

In this exciting role, you will:

· Define and adapt the Regional Technology strategy based on regional business priorities and the Global Technology strategy.

· Lead the Regional Fragrance Technology team and represent the Technology function in Regional Leadership Forums.

· Act as the key interface between Technology, Development, Commercial teams and customers.

· Collaborate effectively across regions and functions to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.

· Anticipate future capability and resource requirements to support business growth and strategic ambitions.

· Drive organisational evolution and ensure effective allocation of resources.

· Manage the operational and capital expenditure budget allocated to the Regional Technology team.

· Ensure efficient technical, analytical and sensory support to Development, Commercial and Science & Technology communities, including regional competitive intelligence information gathering and sharing.

· Lead and contribute to cross-functional and cross-regional projects, including collaborations with external partners, suppliers and customers.

· Promote the successful deployment of new technologies across the region.

· Drive a continuous stream of innovation through the Agile Innovation Program and identify opportunities to leverage intellectual property.

· Serve as a recognised scientific expert, providing technical guidance and support across the region.

· Apply deep olfactory expertise developed through years of fragrance industry experience, including fragrance intensity assessment, malodour evaluation, generic olfactive camps and active participation in technical olfactory sensory assessments.

· Build, develop and inspire a team of knowledgeable and passionate scientists.

· Identify, mentor, support, coach and develop team members while ensuring successful execution of performance management, target setting, performance reviews, succession planning and talent evaluation processes.

· Propose training and development plans for key technical competencies within relevant areas.

· Foster a culture of communication, collaboration and information sharing across local, regional and global functions.

· Champion EHS guidelines, compliance standards and high ethical values throughout the organisation.

You are a strategic and inspiring technology leader with deep fragrance industry expertise and a passion for innovation. You combine scientific credibility with strong business acumen and are comfortable operating in a complex, international environment. Known for your ability to build strong teams and influence stakeholders, you drive results while maintaining a relentless focus on customers and organisational excellence.

Your professional profile includes:

· University degree in a relevant scientific discipline

· Significant experience within the fragrance and/or FMCG industry, with 15+ years of professional experience including more than 5 years of people and project management experience

· Proven track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent

· Experience working across geographies, cultures and international environments.

· Extensive knowledge of the fragrance and/or FMCG industry and an understanding of how science and technology can create business impact

· Intellectual Property literacy

· Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills

· Strategic mindset and strong business acumen

· Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through complexity

· Strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities

· Results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency

· Genuine customer focus

· Fluent English, French is a plus
