Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Are you an infrastructure specialist who enjoys delivering cloud transformation projects and working across a variety of customer environments? You'll join a team of eight specialists within our Cloud practice, supporting a range of cloud environments and delivering infrastructure solutions for our customers. This role focuses on hands-on technical delivery within a project environment, giving you the opportunity to design, implement and support modern infrastructure technologies while working alongside experienced colleagues to deliver successful outcomes.

You'll be based from any Sopra Steria office, with travel to client sites as required and the flexibility to work in a hybrid way depending on project and customer requirements.

What you'll be doing:

- Delivering the design, implementation and support of infrastructure and cloud technologies across customer projects.
- Supporting solution scoping, technical assessments and implementation planning activities.
- Evaluating, integrating and testing hardware and software solutions within customer environments.
- Administering and enhancing infrastructure environments, including access management, data management and platform supportability.
- Providing second-line support and ensuring incidents are resolved or escalated in line with agreed service levels.
- Producing high-quality technical and operational documentation to support project delivery and ongoing service support.

What you’ll bring:

- Broad infrastructure engineering experience across enterprise environments.
- Strong server, hardware and infrastructure implementation expertise.
- Experience administering VMware, Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Experience delivering cloud projects involving Exchange, SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience working within project environments and contributing to successful technical deliveries.
- Ability to create clear technical and operational documentation for a range of audiences.

It would be great if you had:

- Experience across a wider range of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including virtualisation, messaging and storage platforms.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure issues within customer environments.
- Experience working to service level agreements within operational support environments.
- Relevant technical certifications in infrastructure or cloud technologies.
