Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description This Electrical Engineer role focuses on designing, integrating, and validating electrical and electromechanical systems that support advanced technologies such as autonomous underwater vehicles, robotics, sensors, and power systems. You will contribute across the full product lifecyclefrom initial design and documentation through integration, testing, troubleshooting, and field supportwhile collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented maritime technology environment. Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain electrical designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, interface documentation, and technical data packages.
- Support integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical and electromechanical systems.
- Perform system-level analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues throughout product development and deployment.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to implement robust design solutions.
- Support and participate in design reviews, engineering change activities, and product improvement initiatives.
- Assist with developing and maintaining documentation to support customer and government requirements.
- Participate in hardware bring-up activities, including lab testing, root cause investigations, and field support.
- Evaluate and implement improvements that enhance system reliability, maintainability, and overall product performance.
- Apply quality control practices such as visual inspection and dimensional verification using tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Identify and document nonconforming electrical components or assemblies and support corrective actions.

Essential Skills

- Electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in electrical design and hardware development.
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and related documentation.
- Experience with system integration of electrical and electromechanical hardware.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical and system-level issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, and test teams.
- Knowledge of power distribution, control systems, embedded electronics, sensors, or communication systems.
- Ability to perform visual inspection and use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Understanding of quality control principles, including identifying and handling nonconforming parts or assemblies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with electronic design tools and platforms such as Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar systems.
- Experience supporting products that transition from laboratory environments to real-world operational settings.
- Interest in or exposure to autonomous underwater vehicles, robotics, advanced sensors, power systems, or maritime technologies.
- Enthusiasm for working in one of the fastest-growing sectors in defense and maritime autonomy.
- Desire to gain broad exposure to design, integration, testing, manufacturing, and systems engineering.
- Ability to collaborate with highly technical teams to solve complex engineering challenges.

Work Environment This is an onsite role based in Pocasset, MA, working in a hands-on engineering environment focused on advanced maritime and autonomous technologies. You will spend time in office and lab settings, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and supporting hardware bring-up, integration, and testing activities. The environment emphasizes technical excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to the full product lifecycle, from concept through deployment in real-world operational conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
