Hardware Engineer

Description Drive the collaborative implementation of Radio Unit PCBA development Write specification, design, and verification of the complete radio board Hands-on technical leader directing detailed digital and RF design, applying extensive experience Collaborate closely throughout the development process to jointly establish top-level product characteristics and technology selections Collaborate in board bring-up, data path bring-up, and performance optimization Support the interface towards production Drive solutions aligned with 3GPP and O-RAN Alliance (O-RAN) specifications for 4G and 5G networks in the open RAN ecosystem Evaluate and advise on commercial technology, vendor reference designs, third-party IP, partner designs, and OEM proposals Mentor and bring up junior Hardware Designer Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions Uses independent judgment to accomplish goals and objectives Has insight into industry trends and communicates vision to guide organizational strategy and long-range planning Lends research and contributes to evaluations, project plans and budgets for new products or updates existing products Acts as consultant on critical projects that impact long term organizational goals and objectives Leads teams, gives technical guidance and communicates with sr management on progress Identifies or creates solutions that are likely to contribute to the development of new company concepts Expected to set standards and achieve cost targets for product cost through proper design choices, component selection or supplier selection Demonstrated expertise in competitive analysis May actively seek customer input and take responsibility for internal and external customer situations Determines requirements and functional specifications for entire system, under only consultative direction Skills Hardware, Design, Hardware design, Electronics, Electrical engineering, Pcb, Pcb design, Electrical, Digital, Analog, Fpga, Circuit design, Schematic capture, Power electronics, Engineering, Schematic, Analog design, wireless, 5g, 4g, Pcb layout, Hardware engineering Top Skills Details Hardware,Design,Hardware design,Electronics,Electrical engineering,Pcb,Pcb design,Electrical,Digital,Analog,Fpga,Circuit design,Schematic capture,Power electronics,Engineering,Schematic,Analog design Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on understanding of High-Speed Serial links on a board level environment Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skill Working knowledge in digital, RF and clocking hardware design, DCDC power design Good understand of SI and its mitigation technique In depth knowledge of PCB design technique. (Floor planning, Route planning, Constraint) Working knowledge in radio hardware development from concept to volume manufacturing Experience in working with Radio Software development teams on embedded firmware requirements, and control and configuration of the RU Detailed understanding of 3GPP specifications and worldwide spectrum and telecommunications regulations Knowledge in 4G and 5G Radio and/or subsystems architecture, implementation and ecosystem Strong hands-on technical skills and the demonstrated ability to work across functional areas -5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience -Typically requires diversified experience in wireless product development Experience Level Entry Level

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
