Job Title: Financial Analyst 2
Location: San Francisco, CA 94107
Type: Contract ( 12+ Months, possibility for extension)
Pay Rate: $ 42.77 hourly on W2.
Schedule: Hybrid role onsite 3 days per week

Duties:
- We are looking for a detail-oriented contractor with experience in marketing, advertising, media, or finance operations who can support financial workflows across multiple stakeholders and platforms.
- This role will connect media activity with finance operations to help maintain accurate budgets, pacing, purchase orders, reconciliations, and billing records.

Role Focus
- The contractor will provide hands-on operational support to the Media and Finance teams, with an emphasis on data accuracy, budget visibility, transaction processing, and timely issue resolution.
- The role is execution-focused and partners closely with internal stakeholders to keep financial records aligned and up to date.

Key Responsibilities
- Cross-functional Support - Partner with Media and Finance stakeholders to ensure financial processes and information remain aligned and up to date.
- Process Improvement & AI - Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and AI solutions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across Finance Operations.
- Financial Controls & Reporting - Monitor budget utilization, identify risks or discrepancies, and support regular financial reporting.
- Billing & Reconciliation - Partner with Media, Finance, agencies, and vendors to resolve billing and reconciliation discrepancies.
- PO & Funding Management - Support PO management, budget transfers, funding changes, and related finance workflows.
- Budget & Financial Operations - Support budget tracking, check book QA, reconciliation, and overall financial accuracy across media investments.

Ideal Candidate:
- Strong attention to detail with solid quantitative and analytical skills.
- Highly organized, resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working across Media, Finance, agencies, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- A proactive problem solver who can identify discrepancies, follow issues through to resolution, and communicate clearly.
- Curious and capable of using AI tools and automation to improve processes, reduce manual work, and increase operational efficiency.
- Comfortable working in Excel and maintaining detailed financial trackers.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in digital media, marketing, advertising, or finance operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets, reconciliations, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with purchase orders, media billing, budget tracking, or financial reconciliation.
- Understanding of media planning/buying workflows is a plus.
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar data platforms is a plus.

Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets, reconciliations, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with purchase orders, media billing, budget tracking, or financial reconciliation.
- Understanding of media planning/buying workflows is a plus.
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar data platforms is a plus.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance.
