Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Fill Technician Department: Pharmacy Operations

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician Fill Technician is responsible for accurately filling prescription medications, preparing orders for pharmacist verification, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations and company standards. This role supports efficient pharmacy operations by maintaining accuracy, productivity, and quality while providing excellent service to patients and healthcare partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately fill prescription medications according to production schedules and prescription orders.
- Retrieve, count, measure, label, and package medications using pharmacy dispensing systems and equipment.
- Prepare filled prescriptions for pharmacist review and final verification.
- Maintain strict adherence to state, federal, HIPAA, and company regulatory requirements.
- Perform medication inventory management, including stocking, rotating, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Assist with receiving and organizing incoming pharmaceutical shipments and supplies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of dispensing activities and inventory transactions.
- Identify and escalate prescription discrepancies, medication shortages, or workflow issues to the pharmacist.
- Ensure pharmacy workstations remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Operate pharmacy automation equipment and troubleshoot minor issues as needed.
- Support quality assurance initiatives by following established procedures and accuracy standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication fulfillment.

Required Qualifications

- Active Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure (as required by state regulations).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
- Previous pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or medication fulfillment experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Mary, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
