About this role
An international 5-star hotel in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Hostess to join its Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate must have relevant hospitality experience, excellent communication skills, and a polished, welcoming personality to create a warm and professional first impression for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival at the outlet
- Manage restaurant reservations, guest seating, and table allocation efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus according to hotel service standards
- Maintain an organized reservation book and update guest preferences when required
- Coordinate closely with the Restaurant Manager, service team, kitchen, and bar to ensure smooth operations
- Manage waiting lists, special requests, VIP guests, and repeat guests professionally
- Monitor table availability and support smooth guest flow during busy service periods
- Answer phone calls and handle guest inquiries in a polite and professional manner
- Ensure the reception area, menus, and hostess desk are clean, organized, and presentable
- Support guest engagement and assist with service recovery when required
- Maintain grooming, posture, communication, and professional conduct in line with international 5-star hotel standards
Requirements
- Must have relevant experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, Guest Relations Agent, or similar guest-facing role
- Prior experience in a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, fine dining outlet, or international hospitality environment is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong guest service mindset with a warm, confident, and professional approach
- Presentable, well-groomed, and able to represent a luxury hotel image
- Good English communication skills; additional languages such as Arabic, Russian, French, German, or Chinese are an advantage
- Able to manage reservations, guest flow, and busy restaurant operations calmly and efficiently
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Familiarity with reservation systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, or similar platforms is an advantage
