Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour
About the Role
Rx relief is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Nashville. In this role, you will support daily pharmacy operations, assist patients with routine inquiries, and maintain high standards of accuracy in prescription fulfillment. This position offers a predictable weekday schedule with consistent hours in a collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Receive, review, and enter incoming prescription requests and refills into the pharmacy system with high accuracy.
Verify patient profile records, update medical histories, and process third-party insurance claims while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
Measure, count, package, and label pharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist.
Deliver helpful customer service by answering general inquiries and directing clinical or therapeutic questions to the pharmacist.
Conduct routine inventory audits, track supply levels, and assist with ordering and stocking medications.
Maintain complete and compliant documentation across all pharmacy record-keeping systems.
Adhere strictly to state and federal pharmacy laws, operating standards, and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with staff members to streamline daily workflow and ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least 1 year of recent experience working in a pharmacy setting.
Licensing: Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license is strongly preferred.
Certification: CPhT certification is a plus, though not required.
Skills: Solid basic math and computer skills for data entry and dosage calculations.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication abilities.
Work Style: Sharp attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Physical Requirements & Environment
This is an on-site position located within a professional pharmacy facility. The role requires extended periods of standing, manual dexterity for handling medications, and frequent direct interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
