### Position Overview
Rx relief is seeking a dedicated and qualified Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team near DeRidder, LA. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise and management skills to plan, organize, staff, direct, and evaluate pharmaceutical services. You will oversee drug storage and preparation, ensuring optimal patient care while maintaining full compliance with all legal, accreditation, certification, and organizational standards.
### Schedule & Hours
This position features a set, predictable schedule with a mix of mid-day and full-day shifts: Wednesdays: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Thursdays & Fridays: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Every Other Weekend: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Note: May occasionally be required to work irregular hours based on facility needs.

### Key Responsibilities
Oversee all drug storage, compounding, and dispensing processes within the facility. Deliver optimal pharmaceutical care services tailored to individual patient needs. Ensure strict adherence to all state/federal laws, Louisiana Board of Pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and internal hospital procedures. Manage pharmacy operations efficiently during scheduled shifts, including crisis or emergency situations. Maintain clear, clear-cut communication with medical staff, patients, and interdisciplinary care teams under varied circumstances.

### Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licensing: B.S. Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited school of pharmacy. Active, unencumbered Pharmacist license verified through the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy. Open to candidates with previous pharmacist experience in either retail or hospital settings.
Skills & Physical/Environmental Requirements: Communication: Ability to read, write legibly, and communicate effectively in English; exceptional verbal communication and empathetic listening skills. Clinical Readiness: Ability to handle high-pressure emergency or crisis situations calmly and effectively. Sensory Requirements: Ability to see (with corrective eyewear) and hear clearly (with assistance). Work Environment: Comfortable interacting with patients under diverse circumstances, with potential exposure to infectious/contagious diseases. Willingness to wear protective equipment as required.
