Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual machining tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines, to produce precision metal parts.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine accurate machining requirements.
- Use precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators, to verify part quality.
- Select and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures for efficient and accurate machining.
- Perform machine setup procedures with a strong focus on precision and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using GD&T standards to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.

Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in manual machining using lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment.
- Experience using precision measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers, for quality control.
- Familiarity with CNC machining concepts is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of EDM techniques is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T standards effectively.
- Skilled in tool selection, tooling setup, and machine calibration for precision manufacturing.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and conversions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of metal properties and machining techniques.
- Experience using hand and power tools in a manual machining environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
