Job Title: Senior Contracts Administrator Job Description This Senior Contracts Administrator role is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle for government and defense programs, from initial request for quote through contract closeout. The position supports business units by ensuring contracts are compliant, accurately documented, and aligned with company policies, legal requirements, and customer expectations. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on government contracting, provide guidance to internal stakeholders, and lead negotiations with customers and partners in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. Responsibilities
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle (cradle to grave) for government and defense contracts, including initiation, negotiation, execution, administration, modifications, and closeout.
- Ensure department processes and procedures are followed for comprehensive contract life cycle management and compliance.
- Maintain complete and accurate contract files, including all associated documentation, amendments, and correspondence.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contract modifications and amendments to protect company interests while meeting customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain contract requirements flow-down matrices to ensure all obligations are properly communicated and implemented across internal teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor and ensure contract compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and specific contract terms and conditions.
- Support the preparation and submittal of RFQ and RFP proposal responses to U.S. Government agencies and Department of Defense prime contractors.
- Administer and negotiate contractual award transactions, including new awards, options, extensions, and other contractual actions.
- Maintain and update the contracts database and other internal business systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely entry of contract information.
- Participate as an active member of program teams, collaborating with Operations, Finance, Pricing, Business Development, and other functions to align contract execution with program objectives.
- Conduct contract negotiations and manage customer contact activities in accordance with contract requirements, company policies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advise management and internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities, providing clear and actionable guidance.
- Monitor the timely submission of contractual data deliverables and reports, coordinating with internal teams to ensure on-time, compliant delivery.
- Support risk identification and mitigation efforts in concert with program teams, proactively addressing contractual and compliance risks.
- Apply sound business judgment to resolve issues and facilitate problem resolution to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on government procurement regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and GSA schedule processes, and ensure adherence to these requirements.
- Provide guidance to internal functional groups on contract administration and solicitation compliance requirements in accordance with company policy and federal procurement regulations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships and supporting a customer-focused culture.
Essential Skills
- 710 years of experience in contracts administration, with demonstrated cradle-to-grave experience in government and defense contracts.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Working knowledge of government procurement processes, including GSA schedule procedures and related compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting practices and their application in a defense and government environment.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks such as CMMC as they relate to contract requirements.
- Functional understanding of legal and financial principles as they relate to various contract types and pricing structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while serving as a subject matter expert in contracts administration.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate contract language clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter with reasonable business acumen and the ability to hit the ground running in a complex environment.
- Bachelors degree.
- Eligibility to work at this location as a U.S. person, in accordance with applicable regulations.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
- Experience offering guidance to internal functional groups such as Operations, Finance, Pricing, and Business Development on contract administration and solicitation compliance.
- Ability to apply sound business judgment in a high-paced, demanding business environment.
- Proven ability to facilitate problem resolution and drive issues to closure in a manner that satisfies internal and external customers.
- Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or similar business systems for managing contract and financial data.
- CPCM certification or equivalent coursework in contracts management is helpful and considered a plus.
- Experience in the defense industry, including familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and related compliance requirements.
- Experience or familiarity with accounting and finance concepts as they relate to contract administration.
- Experience supporting proposals, including RFQs and RFPs, for government and DoD prime contracts.
Work Environment This position is based onsite in a professional office environment with standard business hours, Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role operates from a cubicle or workstation setting, using typical office technologies, including Microsoft Office and enterprise systems such as Deltek Costpoint. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
