Job Overview:

Performs basic and repetitive routine electromechanical assembly tasks to support manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities:

- Support the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policy and strategic direction of the organization.

- Perform sub and final assemblies with minimal supervision

- Works either on a production line or with small parts by inspecting and sorting

- Perform to written job instructions or engineering drawing/work order

- Utilize matrices for problem analysis

- Work to achieve general knowledge of operation/function of assemblies as required to troubleshoot units

- Learn operational or departmental equipment, tooling or gauging as required

- Identify process changes and methods improvements

- Maintain current instrumentation calibration

- Performs quality checks in accordance with established quality procedures and ISO requirements

- Ensures production pace is maintained to meet customer demand

- Learn and review daily production goals and metrics as a team

- Will be cross trained to work at all assembly steps of line

- Maintain cleanliness (5S) of work area daily

- Participate in continuous improvement goals of the work site

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED

- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting

Core Competencies:

- Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.

- Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

- Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.

- Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.

- Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.

- Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others.

- Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.

- Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.

Preferences:

- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

- Familiar with and ability to utilize all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.

- Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.

- Familiar with and can utilize power tools.

- Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.

Travel & Work Environment Requirements:

- This position is based on-site and requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and other safety equipment as required. Employees may also be required to work around machine guarding and stand for extended periods using anti-fatigue mats. The role may involve lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
