## About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Quality Control Associate I to join a growing biotechnology team supporting quality control testing activities in a GMP laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist looking to gain hands-on experience with bioassays, molecular biology techniques, and quality systems while working in a fast-paced and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine analytical and bioassay testing, including: Cell-based potency assays
- PCR/qPCR
- DNA/RNA sequencing
- Gel electrophoresis

- Support raw material testing activities and sample management.
- Prepare reagents, buffers, and test materials as needed.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine housekeeping activities.
- Order, receive, organize, and inventory laboratory supplies and materials.
- Generate, review, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory protocols.
- Support data management activities, including record scanning, documentation review, and electronic record maintenance.
- Participate in quality audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with GMP requirements and laboratory safety standards.
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life science field.
- 0-2 years of laboratory experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or academic setting.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology and/or bioassay techniques, including: Mammalian cell culture
- PCR/qPCR
- Sequencing
- Gel electrophoresis
- Aseptic laboratory techniques

- Ability to accurately prepare reagents, handle small-volume pipetting, and work within a Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC).
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as pH meters, balances, and pipettes.
- Experience using electronic laboratory systems such as LIMS, SAP, or quality management systems is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation practices.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Norwood, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
