Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center (ABTC) is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team as Behavior Technicians . We provide paid training, hands-on experience, mentorship, and clinical guidance to support your development in the behavioral health field.

As part of our team, you’ll work directly with children with autism and developmental disabilities. Through individualized ABA services, you’ll help clients develop important communication, social, behavioral, and independent living skills.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that helps children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn meaningful skills that support greater independence in their everyday lives.

Through personalized, engaging sessions, Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children to strengthen communication, social, play, coping, and daily living skills. Using positive reinforcement and individualized strategies, they also help children develop safer and more effective ways to navigate challenging behaviors.

ABA is all about celebrating progress—whether it’s learning to communicate a need, completing a daily routine, interacting with others, or reaching a new milestone. Each session is an opportunity to help a child build confidence, develop new skills, and become more independent at home and in the community.

What You'll Do

As a Behavior Technician, you will:

- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes

- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA

- Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills

- Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies

- Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation

- Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress

- Communicate professionally with families and caregivers

- Attend ongoing training and team meetings

Typical Sessions:

- 2–5 hours per session

- Children primarily ages 3–17 years

- Afternoon and evening schedules

What We're Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred)

- Experience working with children is a plus, but not required

- Available a minimum of   15 hours per week

- Afternoon/evening availability between   1:00 PM and 8:00 PM

- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration

- Willing to travel up to   25 miles   from your home for client sessions

- Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills

- Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques
