Environmental Services Technician II

Methodist Specialty Care Center is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Technician II to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, families, visitors, and staff.
If you have housekeeping or environmental services experience and are comfortable performing floor care, carpet cleaning, trash removal, and other environmental services duties , we would like to hear from you!
What Youll Do
As an Environmental Services Technician II, you will be responsible for maintaining hard-surface floors and carpeted areas throughout the facility, including:
- Strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet floors and carpets
- Perform floor maintenance in:
Patient rooms
- Offices
- Boardrooms
- Corridors
- Lobbies and entrances
- Stairwells
- Cafeterias
- Other public and common areas
- Remove trash and dispose of waste appropriately
- Collect and transport regulated medical waste according to facility procedures
- Collect and transport soiled linen
- Perform light maintenance and cleaning duties, such as cleaning inside light fixture covers and air-conditioning vents
- Operate and move cleaning equipment and supplies safely
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout assigned areas
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
- Every other Weekend
Qualifications
What Were Looking For
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of previous housekeeping or environmental services experience
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position that requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies
- Demonstrate manual dexterity and mobility
- Frequently reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch
- Perform repetitive physical tasks as needed
