Road & Rail Services is hiring Railcar Loaders to support our fertilizer terminal operations in the Mulberry and Bone Valley, Florida area .
This is an active industrial position responsible for helping safely load bulk fertilizer products into railcars for transportation. You'll monitor product flow, verify loading accuracy, perform quality checks, and assist with positioning railcars throughout the loading process.
Previous railroad experience is not required. We provide hands-on training for dependable candidates who are comfortable working outdoors, around industrial equipment, and at elevated heights.
Candidates with experience in general labor, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, mining, warehouse operations, heavy equipment, material handling, or other industrial environments are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Monitor the transfer of bulk fertilizer products into railcars
Observe material flow to ensure product is loading properly
Confirm the correct product is being loaded into the assigned railcar
Monitor load quantities and help prevent incorrect or incomplete loads
Perform product and quality checks to help prevent contamination
Use remote-controlled equipment to assist with railcar positioning during loading operations
Communicate with team members while railcars are being moved and positioned
Access elevated platforms located above railcars to monitor loading activities
Climb ladders and use required fall-protection equipment
Inspect loading areas for potential hazards or equipment concerns
Report product, equipment, or safety issues immediately
Complete required loading, inspection, and production documentation
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Participate in required safety meetings and job-specific training
Follow company, customer, and site-specific operating procedures
Assist with general labor and other terminal duties as needed
Schedule Requirements
This operation runs on a rotating swing schedule , so applicants must be available for both day and night shifts .
This position may also require schedule flexibility based on production and customer needs. Reliable attendance is essential to keeping the loading operation running safely and efficiently.

Successful candidates should be:
Comfortable working outdoors throughout the year
Able to work in Florida heat, humidity, rain, and changing weather conditions
Comfortable working at elevated heights above railcars
Able to safely climb ladders and access loading platforms
Willing to work around railroad equipment, moving railcars, industrial machinery, and bulk fertilizer products
Able to stand and walk for extended periods
Physically capable of bending, climbing, reaching, and performing active work throughout the shift
Able to understand and follow detailed safety and operating instructions
Dependable with consistent attendance
Detail-oriented when monitoring product type, quality, and loading accuracy
Willing to learn new equipment and operating procedures
Previous industrial or railroad experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate .
