Senior Financial Analyst

Aston Carter's large client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team! This individual will play a critical role in the financial management of assigned programs. This position provides comprehensive financial analysis and actionable insights to drive program success. Key Responsibilities

- Lead Earned Value Management (EVM) processes to monitor project cost, schedule, scope, and overall performance.
- Establish and maintain cost controls and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to accurately track budgets and project costs.
- Analyze project performance and variances using EVM metrics such as CPI and SPI.
- Develop and maintain integrated cost and schedule baselines and forecasts for project tracking and planning.
- Partner with program managers and project teams to monitor scope, budgets, timelines, and risks, providing recommendations where needed.
- Manage the program cash-to-cash cycle and customer invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, contractual requirements, and GAAP.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and accruals to support financial reporting.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and management reporting to support business decisions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications MUST HAVES

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with government contracts and complex projects.
- CPA designation, or nearing completion.
- 7+ years in financial analysis, cost control, or program management, with strong EVM experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems.

- Aerospace, Defense, or related industry experience.

This is a Permanent position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
