Serco is seeking qualified candidates for an anticipated Geo Info Technician Junior position supporting the Civil Engineering Services Pacific (CESPAC) contract at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. As a Geo Info Systems Technician Junior , you will support the 647th Civil Engineer Squadron’s mission to deliver safe, reliable, and mission-ready infrastructure. In this role, you will help maintain and validate GeoBase datasets used to manage airfields, roadways, facilities, utilities, pavements, environmental assets, and real property.

You will also assist with Activity Management Plan development and the transition of facilities, utilities, real property, and engineering records from Navy to Air Force systems. Your work will help provide accurate geospatial information for daily operations, infrastructure planning, and investment decisions.

Location and Schedule

This proposed position is expected to be performed on-site at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The work arrangement, schedule, and position requirements are subject to final contract award and customer approval.

As a Geo Info Systems Technician Junior, you will:

- Assist with maintaining GeoBase datasets for facilities, utilities, pavements, environmental assets, and real-property portfolios.
- Support mapping for Activity Management Plans and prepare geospatial products used for infrastructure planning and prioritization.
- Help transfer real-property and engineering documentation from Navy systems of record into Air Force systems, including ACES and NexGen IT.
- Assist with cleaning, validating, transforming, and migrating Navy GeoBase or equivalent GIS data into Air Force systems.
- Compare facility identifiers, geographic coordinates, utility records, pavement segment identifiers, and system linkages to identify discrepancies between Navy and Air Force datasets.
- Perform quality checks on geospatial datasets and help correct topology errors, inaccurate attributes, and missing metadata using established procedures.
- Assist with verifying that spatial data follows Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) 4.x, Air Force GeoBase schemas, and applicable CEDF rulesets.
- Help organize and maintain GeoBase and SharePoint repositories while following established version-control, configuration-management, file-governance, and data-update procedures.
- Create and update maps, basemaps, layer packages, mapbooks, and other geospatial products supporting civil engineering operations.
- Support data imports involving pavement, utility, facility, and real-property records across GeoBase, ACES, NexGen IT, and Sustainment Management System tools.
- Assist with validating Transportation Network and Airfield Pavements and PAVER segment maps used for Pavement Condition Index calculations and Activity Management Plan inputs.
- Participate in Pavement Condition Index surveys, field-verification activities, and documentation of pavement, drainage, utility, and other infrastructure conditions.
- Help update GeoBase layers as assets transition from Navy to Air Force inventory and track discrepancies, missing features, and unvalidated assets requiring stakeholder coordination.
- Compile information for geospatial data-status summaries, quality-control records, system-integration updates, and map-revision logs.
- Prepare site maps and related products supporting DD Form 1391 packages, project development, siting reviews, emergency response, and compliance documentation.
- Support routine data requests and stakeholder meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- A bachelor’s degree.
- At least one year of Geographic Information System (GIS) experience.
- Experience working with geospatial data for facilities, utilities, pavements, or real property.
- Experience supporting GIS data used with one or more civil engineering or asset-management systems, such as ACES, NexGen IT, TRIRIGA, BUILDER, or PAVER.
- Ability to follow established data-management, quality-control, and documentation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on-site at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required installation access and satisfy applicable customer access requirements.
- Ability to successfully complete OSHA 10-Hour Construction training and obtain the associated course-completion card within the timeframe required by the contract or customer.

Preferred Qualifications

- A current U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
- Familiarity with GeoBase, SDSFIE, or military-installation mapping requirements.
- Experience performing GIS data validation, topology checks, attribute reviews, or metadata maintenance.
- Experience with ACES, NexGen IT, TRIRIGA, BUILDER, PAVER, SharePoint, or similar systems.
- Exposure to data migration, public works, installation planning, or civil engineering datasets.
- Current Hawaii residency.
