Data Analyst

Job Description:

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail oriented Data Analyst to join our finance team. This position

will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling high-volume vendor invoices, with a

primary focus on strategic vendors, to identify discrepancies, resolve complex billing

issues, and ensure financial data accuracy.

The ideal candidate will possess strong data analytic experience, advanced Excel

capabilities, and proficiency in Big Data tools to analyze large datasets, streamline

reconciliation processes, and deliver actionable financial insights.

Working closely with Finance, IT, and leadership, this individual will play a key role in

improving accuracy of costs, strengthening financial controls, and enhancing the

efficiency of financial operations.

Location & Reporting

● Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida (On-site 5 days a week)

● Reports to: Corporate Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Data Integrity: Verify data accuracy of major strategic vendor invoices.

• Financial controls and accuracy: Ensure invoice reconciliations are properly

documented, and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.

• Reporting and analysis: Develop recurring reconciliation reports and

dashboards to monitor outstanding discrepancies, billing trends, and

resolution progress.

• Invoice Analysis & Reconciliation: Review and analyze large volumes of data

to identify billing discrepancies, system errors, and rate mismatches using

data analytic tools.

• Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal and external teams (finance,

IT, management, vendor) to resolve root-cause data issues and establish

streamlined reconciliation workflows.

• Reporting: Prepare clear summaries and analytical reports for executive

leadership on invoice status, variances, and financial adjustments.

• Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to spot anomalies in complex

datasets.

• Proactive problem-solver comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

with high urgency.

Required Experience

Technical Skills:

• Technical tools: (Strict Requirement) Proficiency with SQL or other

programming languages for querying, managing, and analyzing large

datasets. Experience using visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI or

Looker.

• Advanced Excel Expertise: Advanced proficiency with (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP),

Pivot Tables, Power Query, and financial modeling techniques.

• Database & Data Analysis: Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with

proven experience handling raw, complex data sources.

• Communications: Strong written and verbal English communication skills

including the ability to explain financial findings. Must speak English fluently

• Procure to Pay: Working knowledge of the Procure to Pay process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field,

• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP platform

• Experience automating reconciliation processes or developing financial

dashboards and recurring reports.
