Business Analyst / Associate Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Business Analyst / Associate Project Manager to join our IT Organization. In this dual-function role, you will report directly to the IT Project Manager and play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, mapping business processes, and supporting end-to-end project execution for key enterprise systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead business analysis efforts while gaining hands-on project management experience across complex, global implementation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across business units to elicit, document, and analyze functional and technical requirements.
- Map "as-is" and "to-be" business processes, identifying workflow gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, data models, and functional design specifications.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including developing test plans, writing test scripts, coordinating testing sessions, and tracking bug resolution.
- Develop comprehensive training material, process documentation, and user guides to support change management and system adoption.

Project Management Support

- Assist the IT Project Manager in developing and updating project scope, schedules, resource allocations, and risk management logs.
- Monitor project deliverables, track milestones, and follow up with task owners to ensure timely execution.
- Prepare regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates for key leadership stakeholders.
- Facilitate project stand-ups, status meetings, and risk mitigation workshops, capturing clear action items and meeting minutes.
- Support vendor management and technical delivery teams to align project deliverables with business expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or combined Business Analyst/PM support role.
- Proven hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing enterprise platforms such as Workday , NetSuite , and HubSpot .
- Demonstrated experience working on system integration projects (e.g., iPaaS, REST/SOAP APIs, ETL workflows).
- Experience supporting enterprise system rollouts both in the United States and globally (understanding multi-currency, tax compliance, and cross-border implementations).

Skills & Competencies

- Strong proficiency with business process modeling tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio) and Agile/Waterfall project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with acute attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Recognized professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA , or CAPM / PMP .
- Certifications or specialized training in Workday, NetSuite, or HubSpot.
