Direct Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team in Inkster, MI. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with daily living activities, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. This role requires a caring attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional care in a home setting.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.

- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.

- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.

- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

- Monitor and report any changes in the clients condition or behavior to supervisors.

- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients and their families.

Requirements

- Previous experience in direct care or related field is a plus.

- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members.

- Reliable transportation to and from client homes.

- Ability to pass background checks.

- Physical ability to perform duties such as lifting, standing for long periods, and assisting with mobility.
