Quality Assurance Supervisor

Our client in the aerospace manufacturing industry is currently hiring for a Quality Assurance Supervisor . This is a direct hire opportunity responsible for leading daily inspection activities, supervising quality personnel, and ensuring products meet customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements. This position works closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to maintain quality standards while supporting production schedules. Pay: $75,000 - $95,000/year Location: Our client location (Manufacturing Environment) Schedule: Standard Monday - Friday (40+ hours per week)

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise QA Inspectors, Quality Technicians, and Quality Leads on the production floor Schedule and allocate inspection resources based on production priorities and customer commitments Oversee receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications Serve as the primary escalation point for nonconforming materials and quality concerns Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, preventive actions, and customer quality issue resolution Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and utilized, including CMMs, optical measurement systems, calipers, and micrometers Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes Track and report quality metrics including first-pass yield, nonconformances, rework, inspection backlog, and turnaround times Support AS9100, NADCAP, customer, and internal audits Provide hands-on support for complex inspections and critical production priorities Develop team members through training, coaching, performance management, and cross-training initiatives Escalate significant quality, compliance, and operational risks to leadership as needed

Qualification Requirements

5+ years of quality inspection or manufacturing quality experience 2+ years of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria Hands-on experience using inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical measuring equipment, and CMMs Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems Experience with first article inspections, calibration programs, and quality documentation Experience with nonconformance management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality personnel in a production environment Associates or Bachelors degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field preferred

Disqualifiers

No manufacturing quality inspection experience No leadership, lead, or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment Limited experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements No experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems No hands-on experience using precision inspection tools or CMM equipment Less than 5 years of relevant quality experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
