We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our Gluten Testing Lab. As a part of the Medallion Lab Group, you will ensure that daily quality parameters are met while working within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive learner who aims to enhance lab processes continuously.
Responsibilities
- Organize workload and prioritize samples to maximize output and meet deadlines.
- Execute ELISA Kit testing methods with precision.
- Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshoot as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Quality control and ISO standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with safety rules.
- Provide cross-functional support across Medallion as required by business needs.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and make independent decisions.
- Skillfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with minimal guidance.
Essential Skills
- Basic chemistry laboratory experience.
- Proficiency in ELISA, Chemistry, Wet Chemistry, and Food Science.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2-Year or 4-Year science degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science, Environmental Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related field.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and LIMS or the ability to learn these applications.
- Preferably 3-6 months of industry experience in a GMP/GLP environment or 6-12 months of undergraduate research.
- Experience with ELISA from industry or coursework.
- Experience in a food testing environment is a plus.
Work Environment
This role involves working in a lab-based environment where standing for long periods is required. The shift is Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-5pm. Holiday pay is included. You will be part of a team utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and focusing on world-class quality and safety standards. The position offers a promising opportunity for conversion to full-time employment based on performance and business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
