Overview
We're seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Claims Associate to join a growing team supporting members with benefits and claims-related inquiries. This role serves as the primary point of contact for members, providing accurate information, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, thrives in a structured environment, and can confidently manage multiple systems while handling a steady volume of inbound calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for member benefits and claims inquiries.
- Answer questions regarding benefits, claim status, coverage, and pre-determination requests.
- Research and resolve member concerns using multiple systems and applications.
- Maintain a professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented approach on every call.
- Handle approximately 20-30 inbound calls daily while ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate benefits and provide guidance regarding claims processes and coverage.
- Complete warm transfers to Benefits Administrators when necessary.
- Accurately document conversations, actions taken, and outcomes in company systems.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Participate in training, quality assurance initiatives, and ongoing development programs.
- Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and adherence to scheduled work hours.
Qualifications
Required
- 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center, claims, healthcare, insurance, or administrative support environment.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously while managing customer interactions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven reliability and strong attendance record.
Preferred
- Experience with claims processing, benefits administration, or healthcare-related customer service.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience using claims management systems, cloud-based phone systems, or similar platforms.
- Administrative experience involving documentation, record keeping, and follow-up activities.

Training Schedule (First 8 Weeks)
- Monday-Thursday: 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM
- In-office Monday-Thursday
- Remote Friday
- Comprehensive training covering systems, policies, procedures, quality standards, and live-call preparation
Post-Training Hybrid Schedule
- Three days in office each week
- Tuesday and Thursday required in-office days
- One additional in-office day of employee's choice
- Remaining days work from home

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
