Cost Analysis Specialist (m/f/d)

About the Role

As a Cost Analysis Specialist in End Fitting Supply (EFS), you will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive, and well-informed cost assessments for end-fittings and associated accessories.

You will be part of the EFS Sales team and main objective is to support NOV internal Sales Team and other key stakeholders across Supply Chain and Project Department with cost assessments for tender projects, variation orders, and other project- and non-project-related activities.

Your primary focus will be during tendering to help establish reliable project baselines, support commercial decisions, and strengthen cost awareness throughout the project lifecycle.

Objectives

In this role, you will:

- Preparing project-specific and non-project-specific cost assessments for end-fittings and associated accessories.
- Supporting tender projects handled by Sales, including deliveries from both our factories in Kalundborg (DK) Açu (BRA).
- Supporting variation-order cost assessments for live projects execution teams in PRO and SCM.
- Analyzing individual cost elements, cost drivers, assumptions, and data sources.
- Evaluating the validity, accuracy, and implications of cost data.
- Following up on actual costs against baseline estimates and identifying deviations.
- Developing and continuous improvement tools, templates, and methods to improve the costing process.
- Documenting assumptions, risks, and calculation principles in a clear and structured manner.

About the Team

You will join our End Fitting Supply team, responsible for developing the critical connectors that interface flexible pipes with subsea production systems.

Working alongside experienced engineers, project teams, manufacturing specialists, and commercial colleagues, you’ll help deliver innovative and reliable subsea solutions for customers worldwide. Collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning are central to how we work.

- Bachelor’s and master’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Economics, Finance, or relevant engineering discipline.
- Profound knowledge of ERP systems and experience in working with Excel, Power BI, or costing tools are an advantage
- Experience with cost analysis, cost estimation, project controlling, management accounting, or a similar analytical role
- Experience from manufacturing, engineering, energy, offshore, or project-based environment is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to break complex costs into clear elements and drivers
- Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, engineering products, or supply-chain cost structures
- Advanced experience with data analysis and ability to assess data quality, identify inconsistencies, and challenge assumptions constructively
- Understanding of budgets, cost baselines, forecasts, and actual-versus-estimated cost follow-up
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain cost conclusions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Professional fluency in English
